2024 Law Summaries: A Guide to the New Laws Affecting Cities

The 2024 Law Summaries publication contains all laws affecting cities that were enacted during the 2024 legislative session.

The Minnesota Legislature sent 51 chapters of law to Gov. Tim Walz during the 2024 legislative session. The League’s 2024 Law Summaries will help you understand how these new laws will affect cities.

The publication summarizes relevant new laws but is not intended to be comprehensive legal advice. The 2024 Law Summaries document also highlights bills relevant to cities that did not become law.
